See below for our 2023 retreat offerings. 

Our retreats take place in a large historic village house

at 110 Main Street in Jeffersonville, Vermont (across the

street from Two Sisters). Continental breakfast, coffee,

and tea, provided. Lunches and dinners on your own

(eat in, take out, or eat at a local restaurant with


Retreats are usually limited to 8 participants although

some may have a smaller capacity due to the intensity

of instruction. 


Covid related information: Participants and instructors

must be vaccinated and boostered and show proof of this upon registrations. CDC guidelines for masks and distancing will be followed.

We are sorry, but due to liability reasons, no pets are allowed at the retreat. 


Retreat check-in is on Friday between 2:00 and 4:00 pm (or later if needed). Needle Felting retreat instruction begins Saturday morning at 9:00. Spinning retreat begins Friday evening at 4:00.

As an example, you might create this winter scene as your first needle felted landscape then transpose it three more times so that it reflects each season. Throughout the process you learn shading, perspective, and depth. 


Saturday May 6 – Sunday May 7

(commute or stay on site; accommodations available for May 5 and May 6)

In this weekend retreat, which takes place all day Saturday and Sunday, you will learn to needle felt or take your needle felting to the next level. Kathy will focus on season details. You will make a series of landscapes, one in each of the seasons. Materials included.

        Needle felted Figures/People with Kathy Giroux
                               November 11 - 12, 2023

Learn to needle-felt or hone your skills in creating a beautiful 3D sculpture. Kathy will lead you through building, sculpting, and creating a long-lasti
ng treasure with details that make it your own. A great class for learning the subtleties of faces. 


While this examples happen to be of Father Christmas, you can make whatever strikes your fancy - from mermaids to gnomes! These are built around antique mill bobbins, which make a great stand for free standing pieces. The bobbins will be provided along with the rest of the materials.
