Refund Policy: If we have to cancel the class for any reason, you're refunded 100%. If you cancel up to two weeks before the class you're also refunded 100%. If you cancel within the two week time frame, you're refunded 100% IF there's a waiting list and your slot is filled successfully. If there's no waiting list we will refund 50%. This is so we can pay the instructor at least a percentage of the slot for those who do come to the class.

Learn or hone two skills in this class! First, you will wet felt a piece of fabric big enough for two potholders. Then, you’ll embellish one potholder with a needle felted design.

In our busy lives, making time to weave can be a challenge. In this class, projects that can be woven in short periods of time will be explored and demonstrated. Using a simple frame loom and other “unique weaving frames” you will create a piece which expresses an idea, thought, memory, or inspiration. Basic tapestry and weaving techniques and how to use them to express an idea will be taught.

Rigid heddle weaving is a great way to be introduced to the world of weaving. In this workshop, we will dress the loom, learn numerous weaving techniques, and explore color, texture, and designs. Everyone goes home with their sample.

INTRODUCTION TO ACID DYES

This workshop will explore the use of environmentally friendly acid dyes from Greener Shades. Acid dyes are used for protein fibers such as wool and silk. We will learn how to mix a dye solution, achieve various shades of a color, mix colors, and dye a variegated or ombre yarn. Yarns and dyes included. Students are welcome to bring their own yarn or fabric.
