Refund Policy: If we have to cancel the class for any reason, you're refunded 100%. If you cancel up to two weeks before the class you're also refunded 100%. If you cancel within the two week time frame, you're refunded 100% IF there's a waiting list and your slot is filled successfully. If there's no waiting list we will refund 50%. This is so we can pay the instructor at least a percentage of the slot for those who do come to the class.

3D SCULPTURE – NEEDLE FELTING

Join Kathy Giroux and learn how to build and sculpt a figure from just wool and a felting needle. This class is also great for those experienced in needle felting – the limits are endless as to what you can create!

Rigid heddle weaving is a great way to be introduced to the world of weaving. In this workshop, we will dress the loom, learn numerous weaving techniques, and explore color, texture, and designs. Everyone goes home with their sample.

INTRODUCTION TO ACID DYES

Sunday, August 23,  10:00 – 4:00

$200.00 + $45 materials fee

Minimum Age 16

 

This workshop will explore the use of environmentally friendly acid dyes from Greener Shades. Acid dyes are used for protein fibers such as wool and silk. We will learn how to mix a dye solution, achieve various shades of a color, mix colors, and dye a variegated or ombre yarn. Yarns and dyes included. Students are welcome to bring their own yarn or fabric.

Learn needle felting or hone your needle felting skills by creating a fall landscape with master landscape needle felter Kathy Giroux. No experience necessary but great for those who already enjoy this craft. Needles, foam, fabric, and fiber provided.

Needlefelt motifs and sew onto your wool clothing – hats, vests, sweaters, bags, boots, slippers, etc. Using basic felting and embroidery skills you can transform a mundane piece of clothing you own into a show-stopper!

Bring your knitting, crochet, spinning, felting, embroidery, cross stitch (whatever!) and join us for an hour of crafting with old friends and new acquaintances!

Spinning Guild at the shop
Bring your wheel or spindle on the first and third Sunday of the month from 2:30 - 4:00. Wheels are available to use and fiber available for purchase. Drop in and join us!
