American Geometric Hooked Rugs – This is an INTERMEDIATE class.

Explore a piece of our rug hooking heritage with Stephanie Allen-Krauss as she shares her knowledge and experience of hooking geometric hooked rugs. In her 40 years of repairing rugs, Stephanie has developed a special appreciation for those rugs dating back to the late 1800s and she has compiled a collection of designs that she will teach you to replicate. Through class discussion, photographs, samples, and hand-outs, students will be given specific information on how to create a geometric design that can be developed during class time.

Kit includes 14”x14” piece of linen, Sharpie marker, pencil, ruler, design templates. Color planning will be developed from the wool students bring and from wool available for purchase from the teacher. Enjoy a bit of history as you draw a design on linen, choose a color scheme, and begin hooking your own American Geometric.
